May is National Photography Month: Take your best shot and enter the Annual Ellicott City Historic District Photo Contest!
This contest is open to all amateur photographers. All photos must have been taken in the Historic District of Ellicott City, MD. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: Junior (17 and under), Adult (18 and over), and this year's special category, Doors of the Historic District. Download an application form and submit to the Howard County Tourism Visitor Center no later than 5:00pm, Friday, May 21, 2010. Winners will be announced Friday, June 4, 2010 at a reception at the Howard County Historical Society. All submissions become the property of The Ellicott City Restoration Foundation and may be used in future publications.
This year's special category is architectural features of the Historic District. Photos must include an architectural feature found on the Restoration Foundation's Main Street Architecture Poster. Click the poster to the left for a full size version you can print.
